CHAPTER 2 GHAR

In the quiet of laboratory, there was a 28 year old Zunair Ahmed,Eldest Son of Ahsen Ahmed who stood out. He was tall and handsome, with glasses perched on his nose giving him a studious look. Despite his serious expression, there was something intriguing about him.

He had a strong, muscular build with six-pack abs that hinted at his dedication to fitness. But beyond his appearance, he was known for his commitment to his work as a chemistry researcher.

Despite his tough exterior, there was a softer side to him that few people saw. He was complex, with depths to his personality that only those who took the time to get to know him could uncover.

"Are you done Zunair?" His patner in Lab questioned me "Yes wrapping up things" I replied

Stepping out of his research lab into the biting cold of a Canadian winter night, Zunair pulled his coat tight around him, trying to shield himself from the relentless wind. The campus of University was transformed into a winter wonderland, with snow covering every surface in sight. The air was crisp, and each breath felt like a frosty cloud escaping his lips.

As he reached his apartment, exhausted from the day's events, Zunair kicked off his shoes and slumped into a chair at the kitchen table. And went towards the kitchen counter With a grateful sigh, he served himself a plate of leftovers from the fridge, relishing the familiar flavors as he heated them up in the microwave.

Just he finished his dinner, his phone rang, and he saw his mother's name flashing on the screen. He answered with a smile, knowing she'd want to catch up on family news.

"As salmualikum mumma" Zunair greeted warmly.

"Walikum asalam, mumma ki jaan, how are you?" his mother's voice came through the line, filled with concern and affection.

"I'm good, just tired from work," he replied, leaning back in his chair.

They exchanged pleasantries for a few moments before his mother launched into an animated recounting of the latest family gossip. Zunair listened attentively, smiling at the familiar stories and updates in Ashiyaan e anjum

As their conversation continued, his mother's tone grew more serious. "Zunair, wapis kab aarahe ho beta? It's been 4 yeats we've seen you," Rabia said, her voice tinged with longing.

Zunair sighed, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew he'd been neglecting his family lately, too caught up in his studies and research at university. "I know mumma, I've been meaning to visit. I'll try to come home soon, I promise," he reassured her, making a mental note to check his schedule for a possibility.

His mother's voice softened with relief. "That would mean the world to me, We miss you here. Take care beta"

"I will, Ammi. Love you," Zunair replied, feeling a swell of love and gratitude for his family as he ended the call.

As he sat alone in his kitchen, Zunair couldn't shake the feeling of homesickness that had settled over him. Maybe it was time to prioritize a trip home and reconnect with the people who mattered most to him.
